Lexus Makes The 2019 ES Take A Peek Into Their Sportier Closet
Toyota has been getting a bit creative and courageous with their designs over the past few years, especially when it comes to their premium luxury brand Lexus.
For years the ES sedan has worn the crown of “Pretty Camry”, but not anymore. The release of the 2018 Camry definitely put things into perspective for Toyota’s best seller with all of its design enhancements, power updates and newly implemented technology features. The only thing left to question is, what’s next for the ES?
Here it is!
You must admit, it’s redesign does give it an admirable sportier appeal. What makes it even better than the going out style is that the 2019 ES will be the first of ES’s kind to rock the “F Sport” badge. The front’s hoodline is two inches lower, the car’s front track is 1.5 inches wider and the rear track is 2 inches wider. Nowadays a car’s stance is everything. Under the bonnet things get more enticing as well.
This new ES will have a 3.5-liter v6 engine good for 302 hoerspower an added 34-hp bump over the outgoing model. It has more torque too at 267 lb-ft.
The usual hybrid model will also be available too as the 300h. The engine in the hybrid will be a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder combustion engine coupled with an electric drive motor. As a team they produce 215 horsepower.
